Sarah has had some good news at her work. She got a raise last December, accompanying a promise to move into a cubicle to better focus on her duties. This was music to Sarah's ears -- but music which never really began. But her raise finally came through recently, and on Friday she finally settled into her new cubicle. This has been a huge relief.
Church is going great. We will start a new class tomorrow called "Lazarus at the Gate." The description in the bulletin is as follows:
an economic discipleship group sponsored by the Boston Faith and Justice Network, will meet Mondays, beginning February 4, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in Fr. Bergner’s office. The twelve sessions, will promote simple living, just consumerism, and collective giving in response to global poverty. We will study biblical themes regarding wealth and poverty, and candidly look at our own budgets, examining how we currently spend, save, and give, and then make concrete changes in those areas. At the end of the group, we will decide where to make a collective gift aiding the cause of global poverty. So, we are eager to fellowship with some folks at our church, gathering around a very godly cause. Altogether, this will be an exciting but busy semester. The Lord continues to provide.
